PSR - Parish School of Religion

Our Story

Our PSR classes include Kindergarten through Grade 8. The students are from St. Joseph Parish and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in South Amherst. Our teachers for the program are under the direction of the PSR Principal Mrs. Angie Eads. Our PSR program fees and Sacramental costs are collected through Facts Management System found at the bottom of this page.

Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with Saint Joseph Parish & Nativity of BVM Parish. Attend one of our events, become a member, or volunteer your time. If you are interested in teaching or helping out with our PSR program, Mrs. Eads would love to talk with you.

Sacramental Programs

Below you will find the schedule of classes and events as well as information regarding the Sacramental formation.

PSR is open for students Kindergarten - 8th grade.

Classes are on Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 6:45pm, starting October 2nd

Here are the dates for the parents meetings for children making sacraments this year. All the meetings will take place in the church after 11:00 a.m. Mass.

February 9th - First Eucharist parent meeting

Attention Confirmation Parents

All students preparing for the sacrament of confirmation should participate in our youth group, Holy Ground.

The confirmation sponsor or applicant must complete the sponsor information sheet (link below). ALL sponsors need to turn in a sponsor certificate that can be obtained at the parish office of the sponsor. Sponsors must

be 16 years of age or older
be fully initiated (baptism, confirmation and 1st Eucharist) and a practicing Catholic
(if married) have a marriage validated by the Catholic church .

Sacramental Registration

Confirmation Registration

Mass attendance is expected weekly

Holy Ground Youth Group attendance is expected (occurs twice monthly on Sundays after 5:00pm Mass - see bulletin for dates)
A SPONSOR CERTIFICATE MUST BE SUBMITTED - This form should be obtained by the sponsor from the church in which they are registered and attend.
